Meet the Instructional Assistants

The Sprague High School Emotional Growth Center is lucky to have the expertise of several highly trained educational professionals. Its staff are assigned to a variety of classroom assignments around the Sprague campus to help students with classes that they often struggle with. When an EGC student has a crisis, staff respond to help them get refocused so they can remain a part of the classroom and be in the least restrictive environment that they can learn in. For behaviors that make remaining in the classroom difficult, EGC staff will escort students back to the EGC room so they can participate in deescalation activities so they can constructively return to the regular class setting. |
Tim LadukeTim LaDuke has worked for the Sprague High School EGC for more than 6 years. Before his time there he worked in various other sites around the Salem-Keizer School District (SKSD). Tim has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Oregon State University and is currently part of the SKSD cohort in cooperation with Western Oregon University and will take a student teacher position this next Fall.

Gayle BoazGayle Boaz has worked in a variety of positions at Sprague High School and the Salem-Keizer School District over the years including one on one and instructional assistant positions on the LRC. She has a variety of life experiences that provide the students with a balanced perspective of how the real world works including her experiences raising her own kids and being a foster parent for the Oregon Youth Authority.

Suzette AlexanderSuzette Alexander has just completed her first year with the Sprague High School EGC after spending many years as an assistant in a variety of schools within the Salem-Keizer School District with many difficult younger EGC students. Suzette is a mother of a current Sprague student and provides us with an interesting perspective from a parent who knows many of the kids who attend Sprague High School.
